Current job responsibilities

I am responsible for promoting our ingredients in overseas markets. The major markets that I handle are the USA, Canada, South East Asia and India. Each country has its own regulatory framework, therefore, I have to effectively engage with respective regulatory authorities, local distributors, Key Opinion Leaders and consultants in those markets besides our actual customers.

What kind of company is Pharma Foods?

PFI is involved in a wide range of activities such as B to B functional food ingredient business, E-commerce (B to C) business of healthcare products, biomedical drug discovery, cosmetics line-up, pharmaceutical and supplement manufacturing along with our own dedicated call centers. Very few companies are involved in such a wide variety of activities and as a result the employees get broader exposure for their professional development.

Having worked in R&D and new product development for a long time helps me to explain niche product characteristics, difficult concepts, mechanisms and clinical studies etc in an effective manner to the customers and regulatory authorities. In addition, seeing your product launched in the market is always a special moment and motivation for all of us.

What kind of people do you want to work with?

All the functional ingredients of PFI are supported by strong clinical evidence, safety with human studies and scientifically proven functionalities. As we promote our products overseas, we also come across many competitors who do not have such evidence on safety and functionalities. We would like our customers to also critically evaluate products that are safe for their health and supported by scientific evidence.

As my work involves interacting with international partners, I have to remain flexible to work at different time zones. My daily schedule is variable and alters depending on overseas travels, late night or early morning meetings.
